One of the house gods of EBG, no secret there, went and came back in one piece after visiting EXPP in Berlin last week. This large scale event that takes place once every year is a market place for vendors meeting vendors, the comparing of slogans and tools to go to market as well as a great party on the opening evening. EBG went last year, this year we choose to read Purchasing Insights reflections.
He tells the story of “where did the banks go” or even “where are they”. In the Nordics the banks have been very active when it comes to e-invoicing. In Norway the non-operability between private and financial operators forced the current peppol-based infrastructure. In Sweden there have been discussions between the banks and private operators for long and the bank have an ongoing interop project. In Finland the banks have been in the forefront for long, what ever that might mean in figures. Not explicit about the banks, but Denmark chose a top down approach to increased e-invoicing (don’t miss the pdf in the right hand column for details about the project).
