It cannot be said often enough – the need to treat people as thinking individuals and not as part of the roadmap to the next annual report. In P2P it is sometimes amazing how explicit the what and how need to be explained in order to achieve even the slightest change in every day behaviour. “If you go to your local shop and purchase this exact blue tool at a cost of 2 € – the actual cost when you ad ap services is actually 3 €. If you purchase the same tool, in red, from the system at a cost of 2,5 € – you actually save the company 0,5 €!”But why not, if we believe that a humans selfimage is made up by repeated behaviour, we have to be very careful and clear when we ask for change.
I would like to see a system ad on that shows the individual how these 0,5 € ad up to XX € on a yearly basis – making that departements proposed new, higher, budget impossible. Or, making the raise of salaries lower. Or, if they do correctly, adding to next years budget.
In this discussion the art of change is being discussed. That what you implicitly says have a large impact. Such as enforcing people to fit into the road map to the next annual report rather than visualising the impact of changed behaviour?
