Just back from the final and 7th Peppol-conference in Rome EBG got an interview with Director General, Mr Francisco García Morán at the EU Commission, the closing key note speaker at the conference.
Peppol in it’s self is a strange project – loved and hated in the ICT market and not yet beyond pilot testing. It however comes with a vision and a promise of integrated transactions networks where private and public enteties should be able to communicate business documents cross-border. Today even Norway has made a national adjustment to the Peppol infrasructure in order to enforce lower procurement costs.
In this interview we get to hear about the EU Commissions ideas and plans for public procurement savings, if there could be legislative actions taken and what the plans for 2016 really means.
In September EBG goes to Oslo for a conference (teh first of it’s kind) on the buyer and seller perspective on the promises that Peppol wants to deliver www.e-businessforum.eu
