The constant debate about how to increase e-invoicing as the pre-dominant way of sending and receiving e-invoices is exhausting. Why? Because too often the debate still is about moving a document from paper, to scanning to electronic and then the essence in “e” is forever lost in translation.
Quite a few large buying organisations have moved their manual paper handling administration to low cost solutions such as outsourcing to a third party or OCR scanning. If it was all about transforming what is already there to another type media – why bother?
