Down to the final interview from the actual EXPP venue, here comes an interview with Jonas Edlund at Pagero.
Pagero being a Swedish company taking a holistic view on buyer-supplier messages and transactions – the presentation in the interview getting lost in the conference noise. We jump straight into talking about challenges in the market.
We talk about the challenge both for service providers as well as end users within different counties to be compliant, as more and more large organizations aim at standardizing processes globally.
We also – more fun – talk about possibilities, one being far too many organizations still send and receive paper. And why is that – the growth rate within the e-invoicing service provider area is really high, more so than in many other industries. Still a more rapid adoption would be expected.
It will not kill anyone if they don’t send and receive an electronic invoice right now. Moving forward including orders, which is key for suppliers business, might speed up the adoption.
And truly, there is a lot meaning in the above two sentences. As we have discussed before – if you – as many large organizations have – a proper scanning solution in a low cost country – why bother? If there is no gain sending an e-invoice other than due to an rfp demand from a customer – why bother? Pagero and several others are looking beyond moving around what used to be paper.
