A vital part of deciding what to focus on at EBG | Network come from asking those we communicate with i.e sourcing, procurement and finance managers.
We see an increasing interest in focusing on the front end of the source to pay process. More and more of revenue is invested externally, markets are increasingly global and the possibility to analyze and act proactively increase. A desire to work closely with the business, understand business needs and help develop business strategies.
In October 2017 EBG | Network present Sourcing Outlook with full focus on sourcing and category management processes and structures across the Nordics and Europe.

Survey results so far
So far it seems Sourcing activities visible in the P&L, visualizing sourcing and category management effects, managing global categories with regional and local teams and operations, and measuring sourcing effects beyond contracted or actual cost savings are most challenging!
Additionally so far the respondents range between 10-75% of organizational spend being under a category management process. Contract compliance range between 25-85%! Let’s see how further survey respondents will change the range and average outcome.
Thank you for sharing!
