An EBG | Network webinar enabled by Coupa & Accenture

How do you work with social and trust factors in sourcing and procurement? This session was a lot. First of all Sweden, US and Denmark came together. Four competences such as Thomas Lyng-Jeppesen, Nordics Sustainable Sourcing & Supply Chain Lead, Senior Manager and Poppy Brewer, Responsible Sourcing Global Lead, Manager – Strategy & Consulting at Accenture and Phil Foti, Director, Product Strategy & Innovation and Joe Henderson, Director, Global Strategic Alliances at Coupa.

Then – responsible sourcing and finding ways procurement can help support sustainable business growth are some of the most thought of topics today within the procurement community. The pressure and stakes are really high as companies are increasingly purpose-driven.

Procurement can play a vital role across Scopes 1, 2 and 3. Scope 1 being direct emissions. Scope 2 being emissions associated with a company’s purchased energy such as electricity. Scope 3 being everything else, such as building materials, food, travel, even waste. It’s the emissions associated with all the goods and services that companies buy.

During this session you get insights into what responsible sourcing is in this context, learn about the three priority areas Net Zero, Trusted and Circular. Further you get insights into defining a responsible procurement strategy and where to start that journey. And not the least – how can you put responsible sourcing into practice?

Start your responsible sourcing journey

At least in the Nordics a lot of companies have started their sustainability journey. Still, connecting the dots from strategy through operations and back can be a challenge.

Where are you on this 4-step approach?

  1. Define Strategy
  2. Set up roadmap
  3. Update operating model
  4. Run performance metrics

During this session you will get step by step overview and advice.

Combination of tool and data providers

The source-to-pay ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) capabilities in the market are more or less divided into segments. How do you create one overview, one truth along your source to pay suite, supplier management, risk management, supply chain visibility and ESG specialists? Some answers will be given during this session! It is clear companies need an integrated ecosystem of providers.

In the session you get the contact details to the very experienced presenters – best of luck with your responsible sourcing development!
