About CFO Outlook 2024
As Fredrik Haren recently stated in an article at LinkedIn “Companies shouldn’t be talking about “digital transformation”, they should be focusing on “process transformation”.”. Why so? Most people recognize how sub-optimized companies can be. Functions divided into silos. Systems and applications on top of each other. Tasks being done that are non value adding.
It is not easy! But what better than exchanging ideas and experiences with others. Different industries, different finance competences and different ideas about what end to end insights mean. This is not a shared service center conference however most companies joining have that type operating model set up. Many joining work in or with this type model. End to end mean understanding how to gain insights across unities, what competences are needed and how to best communicate with those in need of the insights. This is not an accounts payable or accounts receivable conference. But if we talk end to end and what actions are value creating – the facts and insight coming out of the very core of cash related transactions are key to an end to end perspective. This is not a P2P, O2C or R2R conference – however those who understand these processes know how they cross functions, systems and even organizational borders.
CFO Outlook 2024 is the gathering of great minds, possible change makers with a desire to look ahead but also solve challenges here today.

What was your opinion of CPO Outlook 2023?
It was my first CPO Outlook and I was impressed by the big scope, attendance and agenda, as well as the professional organization around it. I liked the mix of keynotes and round table sessions.
Really good with focus on operational models how to drive development and digitalization, liked that it was less focus on IT solutions
Very intense and enriching experience, a place to make good connections with industry specialists and get a more holistic view of what is going on in other procurement organizations.
The conference was value adding. There was a good red thread between the themes and the quality and relevance of the key note sessions and workshops was good.
What top takeaways from the conference do you bring back to your organization?
1. The power of networking 2. Having issues is normal – my people told me that they will stop complaining about where we are and why not everything goes as smoothly as we can
We are not the only ones who struggle with data-quality, we are not the only firefighters, there are many ways to improve the current situation
