A warm welcome to Susan Walsh, The Classification Guru, joining CFO Outlook 2024! On April 25th in Stockholm you can draw from her years of experiences handling dirty data. How can it be that in 2023, messy data, faulty data and misplaced data is still one of the main issues affecting business outcome? How can it be that if we know this to be a fact – companies still struggle? Surely this must be possible to fix?

In a day and age where AI and machine learning – and numerous other “digital transformation” aspects – are high on the agenda. How can it be data is allowed to be an issue?

Susan is a force of nature and is making data fun. With a big dose of humor Susan will present her thoughts about “dirty data” and how to handle it. She also invite you to join her round table discussions to dig deeper into making data tidier.

Between the Spreadsheets: What does it take to master data in the digital transformation age?

“Are you struggling to get reliable insights from your data? Do you have duplicates, multiple versions of the same supplier or customer, and multiple date and address formats? And is it saved in multiple different systems?”

Over the years this has been an ever present problem – “our data quality is poor and people do not trust the data so we struggle to automate, optimize and create accurate insights”. In a day and age where Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and digital transformation is high on the agenda, and being efficient with proper effect is crucial – what can you achieve if your data is untrustworthy and inaccurate? Is it possible to create reliable data over time?

Susan Walsh knows all about data quality and managing it, and has the secret to cleaner, more accurate data, leading to reliable and actionable data insights. During this session Susan will go through the consequences of “dirty data”, what it is and what companies can do to take control over its master data.

You will learn;

  • What is dirty data and its consequences?
  • How does faulty data impact finance and accounting accuracy?
  • How do you enable data accuracy?
  • What is the data COAT?

About CFO Outlook

If we all agree companies need to be more networked. Be process oriented and act with data insights – why is it still so hard to achieve? This summit focused on just that – how companies – from a finance perspective – can enable better insights faster. More accurate data sooner. How does finance need to evolve to achieve that? Which competences? What operating models? What does end-to-end mean?

EBG founder Anna Bjärkerud have a behavioral science degree. The company base all summits on the fact that change management is always key.

EBG further focus on the fact companies are to a large extent still organized in a way that was necessary during the industrial age. In silos. Then it was crucial that each individual knew what he/she needed to do and in what way and how it was examined if this was achieved according to plan.

This is not how companies can act and be organized ahead if granular insights and proactive business insights is what is the new corporate gold. Make sure to >>register to meet with a fantastic and open minded group of individuals in Stockholm!
