EBG Interview with Roy Anderson Part I

Is the world spinning faster or are we just getting older? Well, looking back surely previous generation would state the same “I can’t almost keep up”. How about having been in a trade for a multitude of years and seeing it change dramatically?

Many probably have that feeling – and at the same time – people are people and for sure – behaviors do not change in the same speed as for instance technology. So how can we manage utilizing technology advances and at the same time cater for the skill-sets and empowerment people in all organizations need?

EBG met up with Roy Anderson, CPO & Digital Transformation Officer at Tradeshift. Tradeshift being a “tech”-company founded in 2010, and Roy having worked in the supply chain and procurement area for a long time – it was interesting to hear his view on market changes.

In this first part we spoke about the most significant changes Roy experience in his role now from before. And how is it to work for a disruptive company such as Tradeshift?

Given his role and the experience he has – from before and the present – what does he wish other CFOs and CPOs were able to achieve in their organizations?

Source-to-pay digital transformation – keep up or get left behind?

Many of us looking at business processes, transactions and structures from an “outside” perspective see huge potential when functions start co-operating, sharing data and finding ways to unify metrics and goals.

Still – research after research indicate companies are still organized in silos, opportunities lost and technology advances not used to its full potential.

Intriguing!
