EBG | Play: Solving the e-procurement user adoption challenge

February 6, 2017 By ebgnetwork

Spread the word

The title of this webinar holds many promises. Could there be a single formula that enable organizations to use systems as intended? May it be the way they are implemented, how many hours are spent on education, how processes are set up or who are able to use it.

Of course all of that matters – but in this recorded session you get another angle on user adoption. How you can view systems as tech-enablement rather than tech-deployment – and after all – if systems are not used as intended or as possible – what’s the point?

Here you can view the recording and be inspired by Ed Aviles insights. Ed has long experience working with procurement and is today Business Consultant at Basware.

Here you can learn more about what Basware mean by >>WeProcurement and download an eBook in the topic.

Back to the webinar – polls

During EBG | Network webinars we invite you who listen to benchmark live with your peers. The findings are often enlightening!

This question comes close to being obvious but it is still very enlightening that 69% perceive to have user adoption challenges to policies, processes and technology – all the time. Is it about the systems? The ambitions? Lack of transparency? Not enough business insights?

Within procurement and finance – often having a support role in the organization – we often discuss how to get buy in for the knowledge generated. The degree in which a function is aligned with strategic objectives in the organization must be a key aspect reaching there.

The correct scale options here were 5= Really well and they reflect our business needs very well to 1= We do not have organizational KPIs or not aware of.

How well do you know your business needs? Is what you do directly linked to those objectives? If not – do you think it may affect decisions made?

What this session tell us is that system choices, system implementation and system usage need to be linked to business needs and visualize impact related to the strategic objectives the organization have. Luckily tech-enablement is much easier today due to the ways systems are developed.

Good luck!
