EBG | Webinar: Robotic Process Automation – What does it mean for Procurement and Finance?

October 20, 2017 By ebgnetwork

EBG Webinar with Basware and PwC

“In our organization, an e-procurement system is used to create orders using online catalogues with negotiated contracted prices. Invoices are received electronically and interfaced directly with our ERP system. An electronic workflow system for PO approval and invoice exception management is used as is self billing where possible. We are Best in Class.”

Is that your organization? It’s not with most companies for majority of their spend and transactions.

Welcome to a webinar where we sort out Robotic Process Automation implications on purchase to pay efficiency and effect.

Date: November 16th 2017
Time: 14:00-14:50  CET
Place: Your computer/tablet/phone
Language: English
Cost: Free of charge but requires registration

If many organizations are struggling with the fundamentals of process automation, why is there so much discussion about Robotic Process Automation (RPA)? Can robotics really replace existing procurement and finance processes and habits? Is RPA only suitable for companies that already have a high level of purchase-to-pay automation? Who is responsible for managing RPA in the organization?

These are all questions we seek to answer in an upcoming webinar featuring EBG | Network and Göran Martinsson of PwC.

Göran has a background working with shared services and outsourcing at PwC, as well as several years of being a Transition, Transactional Process and Continuous Improvement Manager at IKEA Group. He’s dealt extensively with RPA and will share his experiences in this webinar.

This webinar will also cover the implications of RPA and what it could mean for your organisation. We will share existing practitioner experiences and ways organisations have chosen to use RPA focusing on answering the questions:

  • What are the key drivers of robotics?
  • What are implications of robotics for purchase-to-pay control and insight?
  • Can robotics fix broken strategies and processes?
  • If robotics replaces human labour – who should push the development?
  • How will robotics affect future strategies within procurement and finance?
  • What will the role of ERP, e-procurement and workflow solution providers be in the RPA era?

As always, we will engage the audience in the live event, making your time spent worthwhile. This will be your opportunity to ask questions about RPA and hear the thoughts of your peers on the topic. All who register will receive the slides and recording.
