Welcome SKF Group to Sourcing Outlook 2017

May 30, 2017 By ebgnetwork

Spread the word

EBG are happy to welcome Håkan Hultén, Group Purchasing Business Process and Transformation Manager at SKF Group to Sourcing Outlook 2017.

SKF Group have and are going through – as are many of you – huge transformation towards One purchasing. Strategies, operations and governance aspects need to be aligned.

And then you have the business. How come that despite seemingly perfect strategies and flawless systems, those who need to “do” in order for targets to be fulfilled are not always following the plan?

We have gone from “how do we enforce them” to “how can we help enable them” and that has got a lot to do with understanding not only the WHAT the business need but also HOW they need to get it.

  • Aligning the metrics because what if one metric, let’s say savings, is centrally the most important one, but down time is what is most important locally?
  • What if you include a price exception for let’s say pallets, that shall be invoiced separately and not included in the price – and so each invoice is sent off to manual matching due to that exception?
  • And so on, the list is long – in this discussion you can share experiences and learn what to consider end-to-end.

Håkan invites you to join his perspective on global sourcing and category management strategies and execution and what effect they may have on enabling the business to do “right”. And so enabling You within sourcing and procurement to reach your targets.

About Sourcing Outlook

A lot of effort is put into deciding how much money to save and how much to invest in order to grow in the upcoming years. What effect does those decisions have on sourcing and procurement strategies? How should it affect how you ensure operations run in a way so targets are reached? And how do you make sure you develop as planned – over time?

EBG | Network never give easy answers away but enable peers and experts to meet in an informal yet to-the-point setting on October 19th. Welcome!
