Strategy execution competences at Sourcing Outlook 2019

For sure all have experienced that new management presenting what surely must be the best possible new organization structure. Best new way of improving business efficiency and effect. De-centralized becoming centralized – or the opposite. Outsourced being in-sourced – or the opposite. Local and regional becoming global – or the opposite. And so on.

But most also – probably – are experiencing that change is becoming the new normal – independent of management shifts. Markets are changing, needs are changing, consumer behavior is changing, technology is changing – and the demand to be agile is for sure changing. How to execute strategies are an important part of Sourcing Outlook 2019. This is true for all sessions but let’s highlight a few in particular.

What does that leave sourcing and procurement with to handle? What can sourcing and procurement do to stay on top of increasing demands to know and do more, probably with less?

As do focus on acting upon insights. Today it is becoming increasingly difficult to say “We didn’t know”. The possibilities to know and to act upon that knowledge are rapidly developing. As is adding automation to that knowledge. Even if research indicate few organizations have a ready supply chain digitalization strategy – for sure the change is coming.

How do you stay focused under constant change

What if someone told you that the business you know by heart will have to drastically change, and change fast? At Sourcing Outlook we will learn from Pär Jacobson, Senior Director Head of Global Procurement Strategy & Business Office at Volvo Cars. By 2025 – 50% of sales shall consist of electronic vehicles! You who join us will learn from both a keynote starting the day and Theme Discussions where You can ask all your questions.

How do you align strategies with operations and governance

At Sourcing Outlook – Maria Lindeborg, Head of Sourcing Business Excellence and Fredrik Taube, Head of Sourcing Business Development at Ericsson are sharing their know how. They are sending us off with a keynote and allow You who join us to take part in their Theme Discussions – small workshops or round table discussions depending on how each moderator choose to manage their 2 x 40 minutes (same topic new groups).

How to become an integrated business partner

The above has been the Holy Grail for a long time, for obvious reasons if sourcing and procurement are not able to align with internal and external stakeholders – little result will come out of the strategies in place. During Sourcing Outlook You can draw from the experiences within both direct and indirect procurement Manisha Mathur, Head of Direct Procurement and Frederik Fahrenholtz, Head of Indirect & Onboard Procurement at DFDS have. Are You able to visualize and communicate what could be if only..?

How to adapt to a changing outside world

As markets and market needs change – so do businesses have to adapt. Competences may need to change and ways to communicate and collaborate both internally and externally with new and old stakeholders may change too. At Sourcing Outlook you who join can learn from Christian Herge, VP Global Indirect Purchasing at Electrolux. He will share changes within both direct and indirect procurement and allow You who join ti share Your experiences when prerequisites change.
